Sky High Productions is proud to introduce an all new play! The Pull of the Land - the Sequel
For more than three and a half years "The Pull of the Land" captivated audiences around Saskatchewan. Intended only for the local dinner theatre in Harris in the spring of 2003, our audiences dictated the play was not to be shelved. Invitations from around the province poured in. So began a busy three years of travelling around the province with a cast and crew of more than thirty transported by bus and a big box truck rented to carry props and stages. After sixty-nine performances to more than 28 000 people, writers Elaine Kowpak and Beth Robertson decided it was time to set pen to paper and move the story ahead. Thus, "The Pull of the Land—the Sequel" was written during the summer of 2006.
Premiered in Harris in March 2007 to four sell-out performances, the new drama has been proclaimed a success. To quote Wayne Gibson of The Crossroads "The Pull of the Land—the Sequel" earns its place alongside the original as something uniquely Saskatchewan with values and ideas worth preserving for the future…" Audience response has been positive with comments such as "Awesome!", "Better than the first!" and "You've done it again!" being heard repeatedly.
Our hope is that the continuation of the story in the sequel will continue to inspire and instill in each member of the audience the love for Saskatchewan that is felt by the writers and the cast and crew that have worked diligently to produce the play.
